The meter fills even when I'm not laughing.
Before each round, hold a relaxed face while the app calibrates. That relaxed face is your baseline, so if you're already smiling during calibration, the meter starts against you. Good, even light on your face helps too. Avoid strong light from behind.
The meter doesn't react at all.
Make sure your whole face is inside the oval and the camera can see it clearly. Glasses with heavy reflections, hats, or a very dark room can make tracking harder.
My video didn't save.
The app needs permission to add videos to your photo library. On iPhone check Settings → Poker Face Challenge → Photos; on Android check the app's permissions. Also make sure your phone has free storage.
The video has no sound.
The sound is added when the video is saved, so the saved video should always have it. If it doesn't, email us your phone model and app version. That's a bug we want to fix.
How do I change my ad and privacy choices?
In the app, open Settings → Privacy choices to change your consent. On iPhone you can also turn tracking off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Can I remove the ads?
Not yet. Ads keep the game free. We only show them between rounds, never while you play or before you get your video.
Is my face uploaded anywhere?
No. Face tracking runs entirely on your phone. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't collected.
How do I delete my data?
There's no account, so deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. The anonymous round statistics we keep aren't linked to you. If you want us to look for anything else, email us.
